Love for the Children of Ukraine
I painted this piece after being inspired by two Canadian artists who, together, raised almost $100,000 for the children of Ukraine affected by the war. I am following their lead, but with much humbler goals :-)

All proceeds after direct costs from sales and shipping will be donated to Voices of Children, a foundation helping children of Ukraine affected by the war.

About the Painting – Love for the Children of Ukraine. This piece was inspired by the colours and design of the Ukraine flag, yellow on bottom and blue on top. Each sunflower, the national flower of Ukraine, represents a life of a child impacted by the war. The whimsical clouds are meant to lighten the burden on the children and the hearts piercing the clouds represent the love the world is shining upon them for a peaceful and hopeful future.
July 30, 2022 UPDATE: So far, CDN $5,300 has been raised from the auction of the original painting and the sale of limited edition prints. After printing and shipping costs, CDN $3,813.78 was available to be donated (I rounded it up to CDN $4,000). CDN $4,000 was wire transferred to the charity (converted to USD of $3,050). As promised, the proof of wire transfer is below. Thank you again for all your support.
August 3, 2022 UPDATE: Congrats and a huge thank you to David Peres for his winning bid of the original painting. I was happy to hand deliver the piece to him and enjoy lunch together.
